If you're locked out of your car, need a jump start for your battery, or want someone to walk you across campus for added safety, the Public Safety Department is happy to help. These services are available to students, faculty, staff, and visitors to campus.

Our Public Safety officers are happy to assist you if you lock your keys in your car. We require proof of ownership and proper identification and will ask you to sign a waiver releasing the university from liability.
If you have three or more outstanding St. Thomas tickets or citations, these must be paid before the service will be attempted.
If your car isn't starting and you need a jump-start, we can help. This free service is available on a "first-come, first-served" basis as time or weather permits. We require proof of ownership and proper identification and will ask you to sign a waiver releasing the university from liability.

If the St. Thomas Public Safety officers are unable to assist you or if their attempts fail, a local service station will be called for you; you will need to pay that service station for the cost of any service they provide.
Available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, a Public Safety officer can escort you to and from locations on campus and nearby (within 6 blocks of the St. Paul campus or 3 blocks of the Minneapolis campus).
